01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, keep information on your device in the same way. This policy lists exactly what BuildMetric Consultancy's website stores, why, and how to control it. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
02Cookies we use
We use two cookies, plus a third for a few minutes while you sign in with Google or Facebook. All are essential: they keep you signed in securely, and the site's account features cannot work without them. They are only set if you register or sign in, and they are not used for advertising or tracking.

03Browser storage
Your browser's local storage keeps these items on your device. They are not sent to us, stay until you clear your browser data, and are not used for tracking.

04Third-party content
Some pages load content from other companies. When your browser fetches it, that company can see your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under its own policy.
Optional, loaded only if you accept optional cookies:
- Google Maps: the map on the Contact page.
- YouTube: the video player on some service pages.
Until you accept, your browser does not contact Google Maps or YouTube for these; a short message and an Accept button take their place.
Always loaded, because the site needs them to display:
- Google Fonts: the typefaces used across the site.
- Cloudinary: images shown on the site.
We do not control the cookies third parties set. You can also block them in your browser settings.
05What we do not use
- No advertising cookies.
- No analytics or visitor-tracking cookies, and no analytics scripts.
- No social-media pixels or cross-site tracking.
Our two sign-in cookies are essential, so they are set without asking. The only optional choice is third-party content (Google Maps and YouTube) described above. If we ever add analytics, we will ask you first and update this policy.
06Managing cookies
- Choose Accept or Decline on the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Declining switches off Google Maps and YouTube.
- Log out to remove the sign-in cookies straight away.
- Your browser settings let you view, block or delete cookies for any website. If you block our two cookies you will not be able to sign in or use My Account, but you can still read the site and send an enquiry.
- Clear your browser's site data to remove the items in local storage.
07Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version (21 October 2026).
